Two days after, Esu said she absconded with baby Azeez whom the mother left under her care to purchase some items from the market. Miss Esu further explained that she later gave the baby to her boyfriend, Sidney Onwuka who was said to have sold the baby to one Maxwell Agubata. Mr. Agubata had claimed to be running a government registered orphanage at Orlu, Imo State.
During police investigation all the initial suspects; Joy Esu, Sidney Onwuka and the Orphanage operator Maxwell Agubata including Rev. Fr.
